the power tool project . . .

at the university of applied sciences regensburg on tuesday, june 17th, there was an opening for an industrial design exhibit called, “akkutools” (the power tool project). the work was generated last semester by the iD3 crew in conjunction with the department of architecture’s own jakob timpe and the bavarian manufacturer einhell in a semester long design project about power tools. the context of the entire design project was related to einhell’s battery driven power tools; looking forward what is the possible future(s) of power tools in european societies. the support team for the project included the cto and member of einhell’s board, mr. markus thannhuber ph.d, oth’s own lab coordinator for product design, michael salberg and special guest critic, thomas ellerstorfer, from duo design . . .
