the following text is from regensburg’s municipal gallery of art, leerer beutel:

seit 2011 wird an der oth regensburg der studiengang industriedesign angeboten. mit funktionalität, form und material ihrer produkte schaffen die designer ein gleichgewicht zwischen technischen, ästhetischen sowie menschenbezogenen anforderungen. beispiele hierfür sind seriell gefertigte gebrauchsgegenstände, angefangen bei möbelstücken über elektronische produkte bis hin zu kraft-fahrzeugen.

die diesjährigen absolvierenden dieses studiengangs behandeln die thematik “natur als vorbild” in ihren ausgestellten bachelorarbeiten. auf vielfältige art und weise durchdringen die studierenden das weitgespannte themenfeld und versuchen unterschiedlichste phänomene der natur auf das produktdesign zu übertragen. so werden dem besucher durch die gezeigten exponate und prototypen die individuellen lösungen plastisch vor augen geführt. interessierte können sich über natürliche konstruktionen, nachhaltige produktkonzepte, entwürfe zu sozialen bedürfnissen sowie der natur formal nachempfundener gestaltung freuen.
