recently i made a visit to the “baukunstwerk” of the asphalt chapel from willi koch in the fields of the oberpfalz (etsdorf) and the visit was well worth the traveling troubles. interestingly enough, eventhough etsdorf is in the middle of nowhere, not only does it have an asphalt chapel, but it also has a temple museum, which, in turn, is sponsoring the (planned) building of a concrete glyptothek . . . i would also encourage you to take a look at the following link for more information:
