lenny bacich was a catalyst for artistic curiosity, creative design practice and a strong advocate of international cultural exchange in education. over a six year period of time, lenny nurtured a very active involvement between his home institution, pratt institute in brooklyn, new york and the bauhaus university in weimar, germany. this rather amazing source of interdisciplinary design activity, connecting among others, german and american designs students with meaningful educational experiences, almost didn’t happen. the beginning of this relationship was rather serendipitous. in his own words, lenny framed his discovery with a wonderful sense of delight in this manner:
“i came to see a museum & i found a school.”
