making meaning venues for april & may . . .
there are a few making meaning venues in the next few weeks & here are some details. first and foremost, you are welcome to join us for our mm design dialogue venue at copia on thursday evening, april 28th. will will begin around 6:00pm and should be there until around nine or ten. copia is located at 307 east 53rd street, between 1st & 2nd avenue. the best subway connections are the “m” and the “e” trains, at the lexington avenue / 53rd street stop. a little added incentive: there will be half price drinks from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. we would enjoy seeing you at copia, on east 53rd street, nyc:

the second venue mm is our final exhibit at the department of industrial design’s id view. that will be wednesday, may 4th, 2011 (morning / afternoon), at pratt institute, 200 willoughby avenue, brooklyn new york. our exhibit will be up all day on id view wednesday, may 4th in pratt studios, room 44a. please join us around 1:30-2:00pm for an informal, final critique discussion. finally, last but certainly not least, there will be the industry professionals rececption at the pratt show, tuesday, may 10th 2011, from 6:00 until 9:00pm. the pratt show is located at the manhattan center, 311 west 34 street, between 8th and 9th avenue, new york, new york. we hope you can join us for one or possibly even more that one of these mm venues in the near future and bring your friends . . .

That class looks very interesting but does it involve a lot of intense thinking and hands on development work or can we just talk about design?
I like to talk about design (you know critical thinking) because it makes me feel good and besides….it takes too much effort to actually produce original ideas in 3-D

greetings jeff,
there’s a lot of work that goes into the making, of making meaning, so no, it’s not just talk about design & the content is form & *idea related . . .
the presentations, for example for our preliminary review on march 12th, our up coming venue at copia, on april 28th & our id view presentation on wednesday may 4th are about art & design improvisation, not unlike a good jazz gig . . .
i’m looking forward to art & design improvisation in the public domain,
next thursday at 307 east 53rd street at copia, see you there . . .
