will design for food: a workshop linking food to your design metabolism . . .
the work method for this venue was a combination of an iterative, trial / error and prototyping process toward the culmination of a final design concept &/or first prototype solution. the team teachers, matthew and sven, believe that the observations of each individual member are invaluable to the entire international group. a socratic approach towards dialogue was used in order to establish a point of departure for the shared design and learning adventures. the workshop analyzed the way food and product design related to food colors our everyday world. our group gathered information and explored how food is being prepared, stored and finally being understood, enjoyed and consumed in the differing environments of individual cultures. we encouraged rethinking existing structures and processes to redevelop, deconstruct and design a product (&/or systems / product procedures), which help make the world a more sensual and cultivated place . . .
